Protesters gathered in NE Portland for the Trans Day of Remembrance, and marched to several businesses around NE Sandy and 42nd Ave. While there, they tagged buildings and broke windows at Whole Foods and bank branches.

Graffiti references the death of Tete Gulley, a Black trans woman who was found hanged to death at Rocky Butte Park in May 2019. Family and friends believe she was murdered, and the police have refused to investigate.

Other protesters are reported to have gathered downtown, tagging the Consulate General of Mexico at SW 12th and Jefferson.
