Justice for Patrick Kimmons march arrived in front of the justice center and a grey pick up truck nearly hit bike bloc right as another truck drove by with Trump/American flags. Situation has de-escalated but the “Back the Black” chant is stirring downtown up. #PdxPortland

I'm late but not too late to what has become AR-15 Thursday in downtown Portland. Again
— Laura Jedeed (Misanthrophile) (@1misanthrophile) October 29, 2020
Maybe 30 BLM protesters blocking the intersection at 3rd and Main. A few paintball guns in the crowd
Meanwhile about 10 Blue Lives Matter stand on the sidewalk. One AR-15 and lots of mace
Another AR-15 on the BLM side. This is an interesting development
— Laura Jedeed (Misanthrophile) (@1misanthrophile) October 29, 2020
He tells me he decided to come armed in part because of that video of the AR-15 threat. That his aim is to keep things de-escalated
Chants and flag waving continued for another hour:
An unusual occurance: the Blue Lives Matter protesters turn and leave. Wave goodbye. No one follows

BLM protesters follow
One of the far right protesters accuses one of the BLM protesters of breaking his car
"Yeah? What's the next step?"
Tense standoff. Hands on guns. All the guns are on the far right side now
Blue Lives Matter on the move again

The remaining far-right protesters left and the BLM event ended as well.

The entirety of the crowd is on the sidewalk passively chatting in groups. Doesn’t seem like much will happen tonight unless the PPB decided to plant evidence or make up charges in order to charge and disperse the crowd (which they do regularly) #PortlandProtests

Reports are spreading on social media that police in Vancouver, WA (across the river from Portland) killed a Black man named Kevin Peterson Jr. tonight.
There is a group of family and concerned citizens gathered near the crime scene to learn more about what happened. A Clark County Sheriff's deputy is hassling a citizen Journalist for being here and not having a press pass.

Another direct action is happening at a law office in NE Portland:
A law office near Grant High was allegedly smashed up, purportedly by antifascists.

Police are denying access to the alley where there may be damage to the building. The damage to a nearby car is visible.
I heard a rumor that the law office is a KKK front.
What a start. pic.twitter.com/rbvSZTISeS
Lawyer's Office Rumor Update:
— Booker T. Marx-Snowden ?? (@MacSmiff) October 30, 2020
I'm hearing that the office hit belongs to the PPA attorney. Still unconfirmed as far as I'm concerned, but that would be a legit target if true.
The law offices of Aitchison & Vick was vandalized in a small scale direct action. The property is closed off as a crime scene. I have been told this is the law office contracted by the PPA. #PortlandProtests #PDXProtests pic.twitter.com/t2V1sBfbY2

The family explains to me that the cops have not told them anything. They say the body is still in the street; has been since 6pm. It's almost 1am.
— Booker T. Marx-Snowden ?? (@MacSmiff) October 30, 2020
They are concerned cops are paying attention to the protesters instead of processing the scene.
Don't nobody start nothing.
Looked for a moment like detectives were leaving, and they might speak with the family. The family remains in the dark. Kevin’s body has been on the pavement for 7 1/2 hours, and his family has no answers.
