Portland police repeated their announcement over a loudspeaker, but a protester drowned out the sound out with a loud air horn.

The crowd is mostly standing in small groups across the street from PPA, talking and listening to music playing over a sound system.

The crowd gathered by 7-Eleven for an announcement: if anyone sees police approaching from behind, they’re asked to yell the word “doughnut” to alert protesters to their presence.

On Monday, protesters marched from Director Park in downtown Portland in memory of Jonathan Price, who was killed by a police officer in Texas on October 3rd. The march, led by a drumline, paused for speeches in front of the Justice Center before continuing to Portland State University where students were encouraged to come out and join the protest. The night ended around 2 AM with no police interactions.
